I’m Liz Zirkelbach, Purple Ink’s HR Coordinator. I am a recent graduate of IUPUI with a degree in Human Resource Management and Management, and love having the chance to experience HR first hand at Purple Ink. I had not taken the CliftonStrengths assessment before interviewing with Purple Ink, but identified well with my results.
My top strength, Responsibility, is one that I use every day whether at Purple Ink or my personal life. I have always known that I am a very responsible person. My friends and family will tell you that ever since I was a young child, I have been extremely honest, and I always do what I say I am going to do. I use this strength at Purple Ink by taking ownership of tasks, working hard to better my skills, and being sure to complete things by their deadline.
I used to believe that people considered me a problem solver. After learning that one of my top strengths was Restorative, I now know that to be a fact. I use this trait at Purple Ink by researching topics for different members of the team and also by sharing some of my computer knowledge. Working on new projects and being challenged is something I love best about work, and I cannot wait to figure out the next one.
My favorite strength, Relator, is very important to me because I really enjoy developing close relationships with those I see daily. I am extremely authentic and am not afraid to share practically anything about myself with others. The strength has helped me to develop positive working relationships with my coworkers quickly and puts a personal touch on teamwork. I project the strength a lot in my personal life as well. I love to give my friends and family advice and seem to be the one that people turn to when they need to talk.
My favorite thing about the assessment is the ability to learn about others’ strengths so I can understand how we will work best together. I have really enjoyed my time working at Purple Ink so far, and truly look forward to coming to work.
