Many of our client success stories really boil down to great relationships that start in one place and evolve as needs change. Oftentimes, we are brought in to quickly help out in some capacity. Our Client’s Situation

Our client, Morales Group Staffing, is a large and vibrant multi-state staffing agency with a mission. As a busy and growing company, Morales Group Staffing needed some assistance in their HR department while they were searching for a full-time HR Manager. After all, employees’ benefits questions, onboarding, and leaves of absence don’t wait until the new person starts!

Our Solution

We were able to go into their office within a week, sit in the desk of the HR Manager, and get to work. As HR professionals, we consider it a duty to conduct ourselves professionally, maintain confidentiality, and be a friendly face and service provider for employees. 

The Result

Our initial impact was bringing support to an overloaded HR Director. The normal work of onboarding, assisting with benefits, helping employees navigate FMLA or disability claims, and offboarding takes time. There are a lot of tracking, metrics, and updates with benefits providers that can get overwhelming for the best of us.  An organization can’t wait for someone new to come in, or there may be issues with overpayment to insurance companies and a host of other things that can be costly. We were also able to provide the employees with another point of contact and higher service level.

Over the years, we have helped our friends at Morales Group Staffing with special projects that involve auditing benefits information, compliance checks, leadership and associate training, recruiting, and consulting on other HR best practices. We love working with them because their leaders value their associates and dedicate themselves to providing an engaging workplace.

If your HR department is understaffed, there is no doubt that something that needs to be done isn’t getting done. If someone is on leave or there’s an open role in HR, make sure to know what critical functions they fulfill. Are there any financial risks or compliance issues that could come up in their absence? When there’s a lot of work, people tend to hire quickly, and the last thing you want to do is move too fast and fill the need with a person who just “seems fine.” Get some temporary help and take your time to find the right person.
