Empathy in Leave Management

In 2019, each of the Purple Ink team members selected a word of the year; mine was stretch. In 2020, we are selecting one of our CliftonStrengths® signature themes to focus on, and we’ll be sharing those with you throughout the year.  I’ve selected my #6 theme, Arranger.

Gallup says,

“Arrangers are conductors. When faced with a complex situation involving many factors, people with strong Arranger talents enjoy managing all of the variables, aligning and realigning them until they are sure they have arranged them in the most productive configuration possible. Arrangers have a natural ability to orchestrate people and resources for maximum effectiveness. They are at their best in dynamic situations. Confronted with the unexpected, they jump into the confusion, devise new options, hunt for new paths and figure out new.”

I feel as though this strength does come naturally to me, but this year I want to be better about focusing on it and using it to better the Purple Ink team. I have much more to bring to the table when it comes to this strength!

How I will focus on Arranger in 2020?

Here are some ways I plan to focus my Arranger theme this year:

  • I’m happiest when I feel part of a team and I offer my sense of organization to keep a group project moving toward its goal. In all projects that I am a part of this year, I plan to use this piece of my Arranger strength to better the project by keeping us on track.
  • I plan to use my organizational skills to continually develop consistent processes and routines to assist in making our team run smoothly from project to project.
  • I plan to be more and more supportive of other team members by assisting them with tasks and projects when needed. This excites me, as I can use my strength of Arranger to juggle many different tasks and projects at one time!
  • I plan to do my best to assist in developing successful strategies for getting things done for Purple Ink and clients.
  • I am going to challenge myself to find even better ways to make the most successful systems and arrangements better in all projects.
  • I also plan to use this strength in managing and executing all my new home projects. My husband and I recently moved into our first home! This strength has really helped me so  far in project planning, organizing our home, and getting this done as effectively as possible.

What will YOU do in 2020?

If you know your CliftonStrengths®, I encourage you to join us on focusing on one of them this year.  If not, consider taking the assessment at www.gallupcom/cliftonstrengths to discover your strengths.  Reach out to one of our Purple Ink trainers if you would like to lean more about how you can use your strengths each day!
