In our June 2022 free webinar, Purple Ink Consultant Dr. Misty Resendez and Intern Gabi Ruderman discussed the importance of personal pronoun identity in diversity and inclusion efforts.
Personal and gender pronouns are the pronouns that a person identifies with and would like to be called. Using the right name and pronouns shows that you respect a person’s identity.
This presentation will discuss the importance of learning why personal pronoun identity is an issue of growing importance in diversity and inclusion efforts. You will learn best practice strategies to help direct your organization in this area. During this presentation you will learn what to do if you make a mistake with pronouns or names.
The subject of gender identity, including transgender and non-binary identities is evolving and may be new to some people. But the basics of respect for human dignity are the same and they go both ways: Respect for different gender identities and respect for people who are learning and trying to understand.
