Have you ever had one of those weeks where every quote that you see, you’re like, “YES!”? Here are a few that have hit me that way the past few days.

“When people treat you like they don’t care, believe them.”

Oprah

“The purpose of life is to contribute in some way to make things better.”

Robert F. Kennedy

JoDee Curtis, founder of Purple Ink LLC, has an exercise she uses in her training sessions where she asks the question, “What do you do?” Most people answer this question with their job title, but what we ACTUALLY do is so much more! I truly love what I do. I don’t want to minimize my passion by simply stating I’m a Consultant and Leadership Coach. That’s not very exciting, is it? What I have started saying is: “I align people strategies with business strategies to equip organizations with a competitive advantage.” Now that’s exciting and impactful!

When I read the above quotes this week, it reminded me why I love doing what I do. Leaders have a lot on their plates. They have good intentions and great ideas but sometimes don’t have or make the time to implement them. They sometimes don’t know what they don’t know. As a Consultant, I get to partner with people and organizations to bring those known and unknown ideas to fruition. I get to make an impact and move the needle. In response to the quotes above:

  • I get to assist organizations by focusing their efforts on their people – to show them they care.
  • I get to partner with organizations to make things better.

Human Resource Consulting encompasses a wide variety of people-related areas. We get to have conversations with organizations to dig into what is going well, what could be going better, and what they would like to be doing in a “perfect” world. Sometimes organizations know what they want, they just don’t have the time to do it. Guess what? We can help with that! Sometimes organizations know where they want to be but aren’t sure how to get there. We can put together that road map and trek along with you on the journey. And sometimes, organizations just aren’t sure what is needed, but know that something needs to change. We can conduct surveys and focus groups to determine what the climate is in the work environment and where employees need help.

We have a wealth of HR expertise on our team and love to partner with organizations who want to align people strategies with business strategies. What could you use a partner on to equip your organization with a competitive advantage? Reach out to Purple Ink to learn more about how we can be that partner.
