JoDee Curtis is the Founder of Purple Ink and the ink pad, author of JoyPowered®: Intentionally Creating an Inspired Workspace, and co-author of The JoyPowered® Family and The JoyPowered® Team. JoDee has a passion for helping organizations and individuals discover their talents and do more of what they do well through leadership training and coaching.
Prior to founding Purple Ink in 2010, JoDee spent 21 years in public accounting as a practicing CPA and, later, as a Director of HR. JoDee also has experience as a CFO, thereby bringing a unique financial and overall business approach. JoDee obtained her bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Evansville. She is a CPA, a SHRM – Senior Certified Professional, an Everything DiSC® Certified Trainer, and a Gallup-certified Strengths Coach. She is a faculty member for National SHRM, a member of the National Speakers Association and the Association for Training and Development, serves on the State Council for HR Indiana SHRM, and is co-host of The JoyPowered® Workspace Podcast. JoDee was named the HR Indiana SHRM Volunteer Leader of the Year in 2019.
JoDee is a wife and mother of three humans and two labradoodles, and she loves to read and travel. She serves on the boards of The O’Connor House and Forum Credit Union, is a mentor for Pass the Torch for Women, and co-hosts the Salted Carmel podcast.

Emily is Purple Ink’s Director of Marketing. She enjoys being able to exercise both her creative side and her analytical side, and as a Learner, loves helping to create new services and tactics and discovering the best ways to share them with the community.
Emily joined the team in 2014 as an Administrative Assistant. She has over five years of experience helping Purple Ink and other small businesses hone and execute their marketing and branding strategies. She’s had a hand in publishing the JoyPowered series of books and produces The JoyPowered Workspace Podcast. Emily earned a bachelor’s degree in Marketing from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business, with minors in Apparel Merchandising and Spanish. She is a member of the American Marketing Association.
When she’s not at work, Emily loves reading, traveling, running, and being an auntie to her two nephews.

Peggy is the Manager of Recruiting and Career Transition Services at Purple Ink and a co-author of The JoyPowered™ Team. Peggy enjoys connecting the right person to the right place, whether she’s career coaching, recruiting, or working on-site with a client. She is motivated to help create positive workspaces by offering creative solutions to problems in the workplace, resulting in reduced turnover, higher employee engagement, and increased productivity.
Peggy joined the team in 2014 and has over 15 years of experience in HR. Much of her experience has been in full lifecycle recruiting with additional work as an HR generalist working on employee relations issues, training, OFCCP compliance, benefits administration, and employee engagement programs. She has worked in the banking and advertising industries, and has consulted with various nonprofits as well as clients in the finance, insurance, manufacturing, construction, and travel industries. Peggy earned Bachelor of Arts degrees in Communications and English from The University of Michigan. She is a SHRM-Senior Certified Professional, a member of the Professional Association of Résumé Writers and Career Coaches, a Certified Professional Résumé Writer, a Certifed Professional Career Coach, a certified Strong Interest Inventory® interpreter, and a member of SHRM and IndySHRM. Peggy was named the HR Indiana Professional of the Year in 2020.
Peggy volunteers on the board of the Indiana Dual Careers Network, volunteers for Dress for Success, and is a mentor through The O’Connor House. Peggy loves playing tennis, vacationing in Michigan, tinkering with projects around the house, and spending time with friends and family.

Laura is an HR Consultant at Purple Ink and a co-author of The JoyPowered™ Team. She thrives for all levels of employees to understand and truly utilize their benefits to the fullest potential.
Laura joined the team in 2016. Before that, she gained over 10 years of experience in the healthcare and insurance sectors. As a Benefits Specialist, she coordinated the administration of all employee and physician benefit programs for over 800 lives. She also held a high-level claims position for United Parcel Service handling Family Medical Leave and worker’s compensation. In addition to benefits, she has experience with recruiting, onboarding, new hire training, payroll, and employee relations. Laura earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Indiana University, with a minor in business. She is a certified Professional in Human Resources (PHR) and a SHRM-Certified Professional, and a member of SHRM.
Away from work, Laura enjoys being outdoors, traveling and staying active with her two young boys and husband.

Stacy is a Consultant with Purple Ink. She is passionate about approaching daily challenges as opportunities to provide a positive and encouraging approach when working with clients to provide innovative and practical solutions. Stacy has a special interest in employee relations, performance management, policy development, career coaching, and full life cycle recruiting and uses her strengths to connect the right person to the right opportunity.
Stacy joined the team in 2016. Before that, her primary focus was providing complete Human Resources Generalist support in matters including recruiting, employee relations, policy development, FMLA, and benefits administration. She worked in the medical device manufacturing and food manufacturing industries, managing the HR functions for a diverse customer base including Engineering, Quality, Regulatory Affairs, and Information Technology. Stacy earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Movement Sports Science from Purdue University.
Stacy enjoys spending time with her family. She loves meeting new people and cheering on her kids at one of their many activities. She enjoys helping her husband at the garden at their church, where the produce is donated to local food pantries. She enjoys spending time at the lake, hiking, and exploring Indiana with family and friends.

Caitlin is a Trainer at Purple Ink. She is also a CliftonStrengths specialist and serves as a CliftonStrengths coach. Caitlin is passionate about discovering and helping to implement the mechanisms necessary for a team to achieve their goal or an individual to thrive in their position.
Caitlin joined the team in 2017. She previously worked as a commercial real estate appraiser for Valbridge Property Advisors, while also devoting time to one of her greatest passions – coaching. She spent two years in Philadelphia as part of Teach for America. Caitlin earned bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Spanish from DePauw University, where she captained the 2007 national championship winning women’s basketball team. She earned a master’s degree in Sport and Exercise Psychology from Purdue University. She is a member of the Association for Talent Development and is a certified EQ-i 2.0 + EQ360 trainer.
Outside of work, Caitlin loves adventuring with her husband and four young children.
Mark Oshier is a Consultant at Purple Ink currently working as the Interim Director of Human Resources for Butler University. Mark enjoys leading teams and building relationships to maximize people, processes, and technology.
Mark joined the team in 2020. With over 20 years of progressive Human Resources experience in various roles and over 15 years of leadership experience, he was consistently chosen by leadership for both promotional and developmental opportunities while leading cross functional initiatives to deepen and broaden HR knowledge and expertise. Key skills include: Business Partner, Talent Acquisition, HRIS, Compensation, Payroll, Benefits, Performance & Talent Management, Change Management, Employee Relations, Organizational Design and Development, Vendor Management, and Contract Negotiations. He has led multiple projects that were delivered on time and on budget to support company initiatives and to drive results. Mark earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Indiana University. He is a certified Professional in Human Resources (PHR) and holds Life & Health Series 6 & 63 licenses.

Jessica is a Project Manager with Purple Ink. She works behinds the scenes to assist the team with the Administrative support for our client projects. Jessica is passionate about helping others be successful. She feels that she can best make a difference in the lives of others when they can rely on her to reduce the demands of their day.
Jessica comes from the manufacturing industry. She spent over 15 years working with manufacturing companies on documentation and projects around process efficiencies. Her career then transitioned into the Human Resources area where she assisted other HR professionals in training and development of their employees by helping in the development of customized training programs. Jessica has a bachelor’s degree in Operations Management from the University of Cincinnati.
When she is not at work, Jessica enjoys spending time with her husband and three children. Jessica and her husband are avid DIYers and spend their weekends completing projects in and around their home. She loves to travel. And, she enjoys entertaining friends and out of town family members.

Jetta is a Consultant at Purple Ink. She believes in the power of truth and service and takes pride in providing innovative solutions and unwavering customer service to her clients.
Jetta brings over 10 years of experience in Grants and Contract Management, Benefit Administration and Audits, Job Analysis and Development, Recruitment and Retention, Risk Management, and HR Policy Development and execution for clients in vast industries. Jetta has created training, development and performance management solutions spanning the entire employee life cycle, from intern to C-Suite. She has also led clients through resource and succession planning and through HRIS implementations assisting with data and knowledge transfer as well as payroll administration. Her aim is to bring the “human” to Human Resources by guiding clients toward creating and sustaining impactful cultures that focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion. Jetta is a graduate of Hult International Business School with a Master’s in International Business and North Carolina Central University with a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science. She is a SHRM – Certified Professional.
Jetta is an avid volunteer with Starfish Initiative and Rebuilding Together Indianapolis, assisting with fundraising and sponsorship efforts, and has been recognized as an Indy ROSE (Recognition of Service Excellence) honoree for her philanthropy efforts in the City of Indianapolis.

Anna Silvers is a Consultant at Purple Ink. She believes in empathy, compassion, respect, and transparency and has a passion for finding ways to make employees’ lives better.
Before she joined the Purple Ink team, Anna spent 25 years in human resources, with a well-rounded background including benefit negotiations, payroll processing, recruitment, union and non-union, and more. She worked in a variety of industries, including manufacturing, radio and newspaper, distribution, and service. Anna earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Indiana University South Bend. She is a SHRM – Senior Certified Professional and certified Senior Professional in Human Resources.
When she’s not at work, Anna enjoys spending time with her friends, pets, and family, especially grandbabies, and golfing. She is also involved in animal rescue.

Denise joined the team in 2016. Before that, she spent her career as a teacher and trainer; first as a high school teacher, and later in adult education. She spent 22 years as the Adult Faith Formation Director at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, where she designed and led individual learning, group studies, retreats, and workshops, and even wrote a nationally published bible study series. Denise earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in French Language and Literature from Chestnut Hill College in Philadelphia and a Master of Arts degree in Theology from St. Charles Borromeo Seminary, also in Philadelphia.
Denise has been married to her husband Joe for forty years. They have four daughters, four sons-in-law, eight grandchildren, and another on the way.

Susan White is the CEO of Susan Tinder White Consulting, a Senior Collaborator with Purple Ink, co-host of The JoyPowered Workspace Podcast, and co-author of The JoyPowered™ Team. Susan has a passion for identifying, developing, coaching, and retaining talent.
Susan’s experience includes 30+ years as a Senior Vice President & Human Resource Executive at JP Morgan Chase. Currently, she consults with executives in a variety of industries, government entities, and not-for-profits. She is a faculty member of SHRM . Susan is a SHRM Senior Certified Professional, a Senior Professional in Human Resources, a member of National SHRM and IndySHRM, and has been an adjunct faculty member for the University of Indianapolis. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Business from Indiana University and has completed numerous post-graduate courses.
In her free time, Susan enjoys reading, funny movies, and traveling. She is on the Advisory Board for Disability:IN, is a Trustee at Christ the King Catholic Church, and serves on the United Way Human Services Professional Renewal Committee.

Kim is a Collaborator with Purple Ink and a Human Resources professional with over 20 years of experience providing guidance and leadership to senior management in startup, growth and stable organizations. Her passion is providing HR solutions to clients by helping them build their HR infrastructure through technology, compliance and people.
Kim has held several corporate HR leadership positions in manufacturing, healthcare, broadcast and insurance which provide her the opportunity to mentor up-and-coming professionals by sharing her knowledge and passion for HR and people development. She has extensive hands-on experience leading HR initiatives including policy design, compensation, performance management, recruiting, compliance, HRIS implementations, HR workflow development, training and development, and benefit administration. Kim holds a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology and an MBA with a concentration in Organizational Leadership from the University of Indianapolis. Kim is a member of the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM) both on the national and local level. She is an Energy Leadership™ Index – Master Practitioner.
Outside of work, Kim enjoys traveling with her husband and daughter, spending time with her family and friends, reading, and mentoring young professionals.

When Linda Comerford was asked if she’d like to become a collaborator with Purple Ink, her joyful response was to reach for a purple pen and say, “Oh, yes, sign me up!”
Linda Comerford has been training for 30 years, specializing in written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills. Comerford Consulting workshops include Professional Writing Skills, Email Gems, Taking the “Grr” out of Grammar, Powerful Presentations, Speak Smart: Oral Grammar, and Exceeding Excellence: Personal Customer Service including Call Center coaching. Client requests led to her newest program, Communicaring, a unique series that can be customized for increased confident, competent, and compassionate communication. Her latest achievement is becoming a certified trainer and coach in EQ-i 2.0 Emotional Intelligence with life-changing results.
Linda’s academic background includes a BA degree in English, Speech, Drama, Journalism, Literacy, and Secondary Education from Valparaiso University followed by an MS degree from Indiana University in English and Journalism. Her teaching experience started in middle school followed by an adjunct faculty position in the Indiana University system. Once she started Comerford Consulting, she blended theoretic academic principles with practical experiences in the business world.
Add a great sense of humor to Linda’s savvy business sense, and her clients rave about how much they learn while enjoying themselves. Participants enjoy their learning experience while mastering information immediately transferrable from the workshop to the workplace and beyond.

Thresette Briggs is a Purple Ink Collaborator who builds global, high-performing leaders with virtual and on-site keynote, training, and coaching & consulting services and products. She trains Purple Ink clients on diversity and inclusion topics like Accelerating Development of Diverse Cultures, Understanding and Reducing Unconscious Bias, and Crafting Belonging Cultures for the New Reality.
Thresette spent over 20 years in corporate America leading leadership development, employee engagement, retention, communications, and labor & employee relations initiatives that resulted in award-winning company transformations. A John Maxwell Team certified speaker, trainer, coach and teacher; Society for Human Resource Management-Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP), Development Dimensions International (DDI) Facilitator, and author of numerous publications, Thresette also developed a coaching program to accelerate higher performance that is registered with the United States Patent and Trademark Office. She has received multiple honors and recognition such as Great Lakes Women’s Business Council Award of Distinction, Evergreen Leadership Community Builder Award, and finalist for the Starkey Entrepreneurial Woman Award. Thresette serves on the executive committee for NAWBO-Indianapolis, and in local and national community leadership roles that allow fulfillment of her passion of advocating for leaders and women business owners. Thresette received her BBA from Wichita State University and her MBA from Indiana Wesleyan University.
