About JoDee

JoDee Curtis is the Founder of Purple Ink. She has a passion for helping organizations and individuals discover their talents, do more of what they do well through her speaking and training, and find joy in their work.

JoDee brings a unique combination of prior experience as a CPA, CFO, and VP of HR. Although she has 30+ years in HR, she is especially passionate about training and speaking to inspire others. This is evident through her creation of the JoyPowered® philosophy, which has resulted in the JoyPowered® book series and popular JoyPowered® Workspace Podcast.

Always striving for personal growth, JoDee has obtained numerous certifications and serves on several committees. She also serves on the board of Forum Credit Union and the Central Indiana Chapter of ATD. She obtained her bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Evansville.

In her free time, she loves reading and enjoys traveling (and does a lot of it!). JoDee is a mother of three humans and two Labradoodles, and she is a proud grandma to one.

Stacey Anouan

Firm Operations
About Stacey

Stacey is head of Purple Ink’s Firm Operations. She has a passion for building processes and policies that are consistent with our company values.

Stacey has 20+ years of experience working in administrative/financial management within the legal field. She has a special interest in employee relations, performance management, and policy development.

Stacey is a graduate of Central Michigan University (undergrad) and Indiana Wesleyan University (MBA). She is a member of the Association of Legal Administrators and IndySHRM, and she serves on the IndySHRM DEI Committee. Outside of work, she can often be found cheering on her kids at one of their many activities. She loves traveling and discovering new places, and the ocean is her happy place.

Angela Antonio

About Angela

Angela is a Communications Specialist at Purple Ink. She is passionate about changing lives and connecting with others by spreading the word.

Before joining the Purple Ink team, Angela spent time at the Wesleyan Church Headquarters as a communications intern and administrative support. She most recently served as the first Communications Director at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, where she spent five years creating and revamping their communication outlets. Angela earned a bachelor’s degree in English with a minor in Music from Valparaiso University. She holds a Social Media Marketing Certificate from the Digital Marketing Institute.

Outside of work, Angela enjoys reading and learning new things by going down the YouTube rabbit hole. She and her husband love traveling the world together to experience different cultures and learn history!

Christine Burrows

About Christine

Christine is a Consultant at Purple Ink. Meeting and connecting with new people are in her DNA, and leading a national network of people professionals puts her in her zone.

Christine started her career as a high school history teacher and has gained experience in a variety of roles since then, including school administrator, web and video-based curriculum development for the Discovery Channel and other clients, business marketing (especially content development), and now business development and leadership for the HR industry. She graduated from Randolph-Macon College with bachelor’s degrees in Religion and Philosophy and earned a master’s degree in Teaching and Curriculum Development from Harvard University.

Outside of work, Christine is a pickleball evangelist – plays and teaches others to play (it’s going to save the world…so she says). She loves to listen to books and discuss them in a few different book clubs, and she is always up for a walk and talk with friends, whether they are local or far away. She is married with four adult children spread across the country. She is a volunteer for Island Women, a member of Kure Beach Community Center’s board, and formerly served as chair of Guerin Catholic High School’s board.

MeChelle Callen

MeChelle Callen is a Collaborator with Purple Ink. She is passionate about nurturing inclusive workplaces that empower employees and elevate organizational success through a foundation of belonging and empathy.

MeChelle leverages over three decades of HR and EIAB (Equity, Inclusion, Accessibility, and Belonging) experience across sectors including non-profit management, healthcare, real estate, and finance. She earned the prestigious Training Magazine Top 125 award three times and has spoken at renowned conferences including SHRM, Association of Talent Development, HR Indiana SHRM, and TechLearn. MeChelle is the co-founder of the PFLAG Hendricks County Chapter, a board member of the Peace Learning Center, and is involved in the Race & Cultural Relations Leaders Network, IndySHRM DEIB Committee, and various civil rights groups in Central Indiana.

Yasamin Dahlstrom

About Yasamin

Yasamin Dahlstrom is a Collaborator with Purple Ink. She is passionate about being action-oriented and determined to initiate and deliver high quality results while working with business leaders.

Before she joined the Purple Ink team, Yasamin spent over 15 years in human resources across many different industries. She is well-versed in all facets of HR, including workflow process improvement, full-cycle recruitment, payroll, benefits, HR policies, and more. Yasamin graduated from the University of Utah with bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Human Development & Family Studies, then earned a master’s degree in Human Resource Management from Purdue University. She is a SHRM – Certified Professional.

Outside of work, Yasamin spends time with her husband cheering on their three kids during cross country, track and field, and swimming seasons. She enjoys volunteering at her children’s schools, taking family vacations, and running 5Ks and the Indy Mini-Marathon. She is a volunteer in the Pike Parent Network and serves on the board of the Swedish School of Indianapolis.

Peggy Hogan

About Peggy

Peggy is Purple Ink’s Vice President of Client Services. She is passionate about helping organizations be more effective at sourcing and retaining top talent, and she loves the powerful effect connecting people to the right opportunity can have on their lives.

Peggy is an experienced talent acquisition specialist with over 15 years in human resources and over 20 years in recruiting. She has consulted with clients in the finance, insurance, manufacturing, construction, and travel industries, along with various nonprofits. She has a special interest in improving talent acquisition processes and employer branding. Peggy also loves using her knowledge to coach individuals seeking a career change and help business professionals navigate their work and career challenges, all while being mindful of the whole person.

Peggy is a graduate of the University of Michigan with a degree in Communications and English. She sits on IndySHRM’s Board of Directors as Chair of Workforce Development and volunteers for Dress for Success. In 2020, she was named the HR Indiana SHRM Professional of the Year. She is the co-author of The JoyPowered® Team.

In her free time, Peggy enjoys playing tennis and pickleball and practicing yoga. As a native Michigander, she especially loves to travel along M22, stay on the Leelanau Peninsula, and enjoy the beauty and bounty of “up north.”

Mace Leonard

About Mace

Mace is a Senior Talent Advisor at Purple Ink. He loves making connections with others.

Mace is experienced in recruiting for a variety of roles in both the for-profit and non-profit sectors. He started his professional career as a recruiter and trainer with Carmel Clay Parks & Recreation. From there, he recruited tech professionals at Robert Half Technology, then moved to Information Services Talent Acquisition at IU Health. Recently, he recruited C-suite roles for EOS and growing companies at Titus Talent Strategies. Mace graduated from Ball State University with a bachelor’s in parks & recreation management.

Outside of work, Mace enjoys hiking, concerts, disc golf, and golf. He and his amazing wife, Melissa, have two pets: a German Shepherd named Marvin and a cat named Josie.

Kourtney McCauliff

Kourtney is the Director of Consulting Services at Purple Ink. She loves to cultivate cohesive teams and develop strong leaders to lead them.

Kourtney is an experienced Human Resources Professional, with a demonstrated history of working in HR for over 15 years in a variety of different industries – from hospitality to health care that also includes the non-profit sector. She has a focus in recruiting, retention, people development, workforce readiness, and employee engagement. Throughout her HR career, Kourtney has assisted clients with several training topics. She loves to help clients with her expertise in general HR best practices, such as HR assessments and compensation.

Kourtney is a graduate of Central Michigan University with a degree in Sociology and Communications. She is a SHRM-CP and has a certificate in Diversity and Inclusion for HR from eCornell. She has volunteered with the HR Indiana SHRM State Council, East Central Indiana HR Association, Cornerstone Center for the Arts, Non-Profit Support Network, and Kenmore Neighborhood Association in Muncie.

When she isn’t working, Kourtney likes to enjoy the many state parks and trails with her husband and dog, and spend time with family. She is always interested in connecting with new individuals, so don’t hesitate to find her on LinkedIn or send her an email!

Denise McGonigal

About Denise

Denise is a Collaborator for Purple Ink, co-author of The JoyPowered® Family and The JoyPowered® Team. With Learner in her top 5 Strengths, she is passionate about continuous learning for herself and others.

Denise joined the team in 2016. Before that, she spent her career as a teacher and trainer; first as a high school teacher, and later in adult education. She spent 22 years as the Adult Faith Formation Director at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, where she designed and led individual learning, group studies, retreats, and workshops, and even wrote a nationally published bible study series. Denise earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in French Language and Literature from Chestnut Hill College in Philadelphia and a Master of Arts degree in Theology from St. Charles Borromeo Seminary, also in Philadelphia.

Denise has been married to her husband Joe for over forty years. They have four daughters, four sons-in-law, and many grandchildren.

Emily Miller

Emily is Purple Ink’s Director of Marketing. She enjoys being able to exercise both her creative side and her analytical side, and as a Learner, loves helping to create new services and tactics and discovering the best ways to share them with the community.

Emily  has over five years of experience helping Purple Ink and other small businesses hone and execute their marketing and branding strategies. She’s had a hand in publishing the JoyPowered® series of books and produces The JoyPowered® Workspace Podcast. Emily earned a bachelor’s degree in Marketing from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business, with minors in Apparel Merchandising and Spanish.

When she’s not at work, Emily loves reading, traveling, running, and being an auntie to her two nephews.

Laura North

Laura is an HR Consultant at Purple Ink and a co-author of The JoyPowered® Team. She thrives for all levels of employees to understand and truly utilize their benefits to their fullest potential.

Laura joined the team in 2016. Before that, she gained over 10 years of experience in the healthcare and insurance sectors. As a Benefits Specialist, she coordinated the administration of all employee and physician benefit programs for over 800 lives. She also held a high-level claims position for United Parcel Service handling Family Medical Leave and worker’s compensation. In addition to benefits, she has experience with recruiting, onboarding, new hire training, payroll, and employee relations. Laura earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Indiana University, with a minor in business.

Away from work, Laura enjoys being outdoors, traveling, and staying active with her husband and two young boys.

About Anna

Anna is a Senior Talent Advisor at Purple Ink. She’s skilled at helping recruiting clients with their talent acquisition strategies and placing the right people in the right roles. She’s passionate about serving the underserved, and she leverages her insider knowledge as a recruiter to help her career coaching clients find the right career fit.

Anna spent a few years in the education sector, followed by the restaurant industry in marketing, human resources, and recruiting capacities. She also spent time in the tech industry building an HR department from the ground up, hiring and consulting at every level of the organization. Anna earned a bachelor’s degree in Communications from Anderson University, then went on to earn a master’s in business administration with a concentration in Human Relations. She is a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt and a SHRM Certified Professional.

Anna is married with three children. Outside of work, she loves going on family adventures to new places, baking, doing crafts with her kids, and building and fostering relationships.

About Stacy

Stacy is an HR Consultant with Purple Ink. She is passionate about approaching daily challenges as opportunities to provide a positive, compassionate, and encouraging approach when working with clients to provide innovative and practical solutions. Stacy has a special interest in leadership coaching, career coaching, and recruiting and uses her strengths to connect the right person to the right opportunity.

Stacy joined the team in 2016. Before that, her primary focus was providing complete Human Resources Generalist support in matters including recruiting, employee relations, policy development, FMLA, and benefits administration. She worked in the medical device manufacturing and food manufacturing industries, managing the HR functions for a diverse customer base including Engineering, Quality, Regulatory Affairs, and Information Technology. Stacy earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Movement Sports Science from Purdue University.

Stacy enjoys spending time with her husband and three children. She loves meeting new people while on the sidelines cheering on her kids at one of their many activities. She enjoys spending time at the lake and exploring Indiana with family and friends.

Tiffany Walker

Tiffany is a degreed Electrical Engineer who discovered her true calling was working with people, which led to her transition to a Human Resources career. She has 15 years of Human Resources experience in large corporations, not-for-profit sectors, and business ownership. She’s a Certified Leadership Coach specializing in coaching the mid-level manager and has extensive experience in Leadership Development, Employee Relations, Employee Engagement, Organizational Development, and Performance Management.

Tiffany is a YMI Mentor with the Hamilton Southeastern School District, is involved with the Central Indiana Community Fund Women’s Fund, and is a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Indianapolis Chapter. She has lived abroad and loves to travel globally with her three young adult daughters and her husband. The beach is her happy place!!

Before becoming a consultant, Susan worked in the financial services industry, where she held various management positions in Sales, Operations, and Human Resources. She spent the bulk of her career at Chase, followed by a few years at Huntington National Bank, eventually transitioning to Elements Financial Federal Credit Union where she retired as the SVP of Human Resources and Talent Management.

Susan is a graduate of IUPUI. Outside of work, she loves gardening, travel, and anything related to the state of Maine.

Susan White is an Executive Collaborator with Purple Ink, co-host of The JoyPowered® Workspace Podcast, and co-author of The JoyPowered® Team. Susan has a passion for identifying, developing, coaching, and retaining talent.

Susan’s experience includes 30+ years as a Senior Vice President & Human Resource Executive at JP Morgan Chase. Currently, she consults with executives in a variety of industries, government entities, and not-for-profits. She is a SHRM Instructor who teaches HR professionals across the globe. Susan is a SHRM Senior Certified Professional, a Senior Professional in Human Resources and a member of National SHRM and IndySHRM. She holds SHRM Foundation’s Employing Abilities @ Work Certificate, and SHRM Specialty Credentials in Leading Workplace Investigations, Talent Acquisition, and HR Department of One. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Business from Indiana University and has completed numerous post-graduate courses.

In her free time, Susan enjoys reading, walking, funny movies, and traveling. She is a Trustee for Christ the King Catholic Church, a volunteer at Newfields, and serves on the United Way Human Services Professional Renewal Committee.
