JoDee Curtis is the Founder of Purple Ink, Powered by Purple Ink, and the ink pad and an author of four books in the JoyPowered® series. JoDee has a passion for helping organizations and individuals discover their talents and do more of what they do well through speaking and training.

Prior to founding Purple Ink in 2010, JoDee spent 21 years in public accounting as a practicing CPA and, later, as a Director of HR. JoDee also has experience as a CFO, thereby bringing a unique financial and overall business approach. JoDee obtained her bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Evansville. She is a CPA, a SHRM – Senior Certified Professional, an Everything DiSC® Certified Trainer, and a Gallup-certified Strengths Coach. She is a faculty member for National SHRM, a member of the National Speakers Association, the Association for Training and Development, serves on the State Council for HR Indiana SHRM, and is co-host of The JoyPowered® Workspace Podcast. JoDee was named the HR Indiana SHRM Volunteer Leader of the Year in 2019.

JoDee is a wife and mother of three humans and two labradoodles, and she loves to read and travel. She serves on the board of Forum Credit Union, is a mentor for Pass the Torch for Women and a member of the National Association of Women Business Owners, and co-hosts the Salted Carmel podcast.

Stacey is Purple Ink’s Firm Administrator. She is passionate about building relationships and refining processes.

Before joining Purple Ink, Stacey worked as a legal administrator at a small mediation firm, where she loved juggling the balls and learning new ways of conflict resolution. She also worked at a law firm as the accounts receivable admin, handling most financial management responsibilities. She then grew into accounts payable, updated the parental leave policy, and was a member of the diversity committee. Stacey earned a bachelor’s degree in Child Development with a minor in Psychology from Central Michigan University, then went on to earn her MBA at Indiana Wesleyan University. She holds an HR Specialist Certificate from the Association of Legal Administrators. She is a member of IndySHRM and the Association of Legal Administrators.

Stacey is married with four kids and a goldendoodle. She enjoys traveling, going to the beach, trying new foods, and spending time with family and friends. She loves to exercise and try new classes.

Before joining the Purple Ink team, Angela spent time at the Wesleyan Church Headquarters as a communications intern and administrative support. She most recently served as the first Communications Director at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, where she spent five years creating and revamping their communication outlets. Angela earned a bachelor’s degree in English with a minor in Music from Valparaiso University. She holds a Social Media Marketing Certificate and Digital Marketing Professional Certificate from the Digital Marketing Institute.

Outside of work, Angela enjoys reading and learning new things by going down the YouTube rabbit hole. She and her husband love traveling the world together to experience different cultures and learn history!

Christine is a Vice President at Purple Ink. She has a passion for supporting HR across the country and expanding Purple Ink across the national stage.

Christine started her career as a high school history teacher and has gained experience in a variety of roles since then, including school administrator, web and video-based curriculum development for the Discovery Channel and other clients, business marketing (especially content development), and now business development and leadership for the HR industry. She graduated from Randolph-Macon College with bachelor’s degrees in Religion and Philosophy and earned a master’s degree in Teaching and Curriculum Development from Harvard University.

Outside of work, Christine enjoys playing tennis and pickleball, reading, walking, and lunching with friends. She is married with four adult children spread across the country, and she, her husband, and their dog Louie bi-locate between Carmel, IN and Carolina Beach, NC. She is a member of the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Haiti Committee, Merciful Help Food Pantry, and Island Women (Carolina Beach).

When Linda Comerford was asked if she’d like to become a collaborator with Purple Ink, her joyful response was to reach for a purple pen and say, “Oh, yes, sign me up!”

Linda Comerford has been training for 30 years, specializing in written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills. Comerford Consulting workshops include Professional Writing Skills, Email Gems, Taking the “Grr” out of Grammar, Powerful Presentations, Speak Smart: Oral Grammar, and Exceeding Excellence: Personal Customer Service including Call Center coaching. Client requests led to her newest program, Communicaring, a unique series that can be customized for increased confident, competent, and compassionate communication. Her latest achievement is becoming a certified trainer and coach in EQ-i 2.0 Emotional Intelligence with life-changing results.

Linda’s academic background includes a BA degree in English, Speech, Drama, Journalism, Literacy, and Secondary Education from Valparaiso University followed by an MS degree from Indiana University in English and Journalism. Her teaching experience started in middle school followed by an adjunct faculty position in the Indiana University system. Once she started Comerford Consulting, she blended theoretic academic principles with practical experiences in the business world.

Before she joined the Purple Ink team, Yasamin spent over 15 years in human resources across many different industries. She is well-versed in all facets of HR, including workflow process improvement, full-cycle recruitment, payroll, benefits, HR policies, and more. Yasamin graduated from the University of Utah with bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Human Development & Family Studies, then earned a master’s degree in Human Resource Management from Purdue University. She is a SHRM – Certified Professional.

Outside of work, Yasamin spends time with her husband cheering on their three kids during cross country, track and field, and swimming seasons. She enjoys volunteering at her children’s schools, taking family vacations, and running 5Ks and the Indy Mini-Marathon. Her mission is to help individuals find fulfillment by knowing who they really are, why they are here, and sharing their gifts with the world; without worry, fear, doubt or hesitation.

Kim has held and consulted in several corporate HR leadership positions in non-profit, manufacturing, healthcare, broadcast, insurance and government which provide her the opportunity to mentor up-and-coming professionals by sharing her knowledge and passion for HR and people development. She has extensive hands-on experience leading HR initiatives including coaching, engagement, leadership development, culture awareness and training. Kim holds a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology and an MBA with a concentration in Organizational Leadership from the University of Indianapolis. Kelli earned a degree in Industrial Engineering from Purdue University.

Kelli is married with three boys who have dogs, so her life is full of sports, dog hair, and lots of outdoor time. Outside of work, she loves playing pickleball, doing landscaping projects, reading, and organizing. She also enjoys biking, hiking, and long walks solo or with anyone who enjoys the same. Peggy enjoys connecting the right person to the right place, whether she’s career coaching, recruiting, or working on-site with a client. She is motivated to help create positive workspaces by offering creative solutions to problems in the workplace, resulting in reduced turnover, higher employee engagement, and increased productivity.

Peggy joined the team in 2014 and has over 15 years of experience in HR. Much of her experience has been in full lifecycle recruiting with additional work as an HR generalist working on employee relations issues, training, OFCCP compliance, benefits administration, and employee engagement programs. She has worked in the banking and advertising industries, and has consulted with various nonprofits as well as clients in the consumer products, technology, finance, insurance, manufacturing, and construction industries. Peggy earned Bachelor of Arts degrees in Communications and English from The University of Michigan. She is a SHRM-Senior Certified Professional, a member of the Professional Association of Résumé Writers and Career Coaches, a Certified Professional Résumé Writer, a Certified Professional Career Coach, a certified Strong Interest Inventory® interpreter, a Certified Diversity and Inclusion Recruiter, and a member of SHRM and IndySHRM. She spent 22 years as the Adult Faith Formation Director at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, where she designed and led individual learning, group studies, retreats, and workshops, and even wrote a nationally published bible study series. Denise earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in French Language and Literature from Chestnut Hill College in Philadelphia and a Master of Arts degree in Theology from St. Charles Borromeo Seminary, also in Philadelphia.

Denise has been married to her husband Joe for forty years. They have four daughters, four sons-in-law, eight grandchildren, and another on the way.

Each of her roles has been incredibly different, but they all involved working with people and building authentic relationships with the people she worked with. Overall, people are where her passion lies. Bridget earned a bachelor’s degree in Advertising Creatives with a Marketing minor from Indiana University. Bridget volunteers at College Mentors for Kids, Camp Kesem, and The Humane Society. As a Benefits Specialist, she coordinated the administration of all employee and physician benefit programs for over 800 lives. She also held a high-level claims position for United Parcel Service handling Family Medical Leave and worker’s compensation. In addition to benefits, she has experience with recruiting, onboarding, new hire training, payroll, and employee relations. Laura earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Indiana University, with a minor in business. Kathleen has over 20 years of experience as an HR Director and HR Generalist, and for the past six years her career has been solely focused on talent acquisition. In her most recent role as Executive Nonprofit Recruiter for Charitable Advisors, Kathleen led state-wide recruitment campaigns and managed full-cycle recruiting from consulting with boards of directors to defining competencies for specific roles, writing job ads, sourcing, screening, and providing guidance on job offers and onboarding practices. Prior to CA, she directed HR functions for Traders Point Christian Church and Carmel Clay Parks and Recreation. In these roles, she managed hiring and benefits administration during extensive growth periods for up to 250 staff as well as advised management on HR best practices and ensured compliance with employment laws. She also served as an HR Specialist for the US Postal Service and was New Editor of three weekly corporate news publications serving P&DCs and Post Offices throughout the state of Indiana. She graduated from IUPUI with a degree in Secondary Education and begain her career as a Newspaper Reporter and Assistant Editor.

She worked in the medical device manufacturing and food manufacturing industries, managing the HR functions for a diverse customer base including Engineering, Quality, Regulatory Affairs, and Information Technology. Stacy earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Movement Sports Science from Purdue University.

Stacy enjoys spending time with her family. She loves meeting new people and cheering on her kids at one of their many activities. She enjoys helping her husband at the garden at their church, where the produce is donated to local food pantries. Susan’s experience includes 30+ years as a Senior Vice President & Human Resource Executive at JP Morgan Chase. Currently, she consults with executives in a variety of industries, government entities, and not-for-profits. She is a faculty member of SHRM. Susan is a SHRM Senior Certified Professional, a Senior Professional in Human Resources, a member of National SHRM and IndySHRM, and has been an adjunct faculty member for the University of Indianapolis.
