Leadership

Change is no longer an occasional disruption—it’s a constant reality in today’s workplace. New structures, priorities, technologies, and expectations can leave leaders and employees feeling uncertain, fatigued, or resistant. In this session, we will explore the human side of change, including the emotions people experience and how those emotions impact engagement, performance, and results. Participants will assess their individual and organizational readiness for change, examine why nearly 70% of change efforts fail, and learn practical, actionable approaches to lead and navigate change more effectively. Whether change is planned or unexpected, this session will help you prepare to respond with clarity, confidence, and resilience.

Participants will learn about the good, the bad, and the ugly around conflict. We will view the different types of conflict, explore a model for conflict resolution, and identify which strategies are most effective. Explore the power of INVITING healthy conflict into meetings and/or one-on-one conversations leading to more commitment on the team. Don’t avoid it, bring it on!

The art of effectively delegating work to team members is critical to an optimally functioning organization. Yet, high potential individual contributors are often promoted to leadership positions without the skills or knowledge to delegate. In this session, leaders will identify what it means to be intentional and deliberate about delegating and how to achieve a positive dynamic in which all parties share accountability and control. Participants will explore the value of delegation and its benefits to all parties and the organization as a whole. Participants will also analyze how to overcome internal or external barriers to delegation (i.e. “I can do the work better than anyone else”).

With more teams working fully or partially remote, it’s important to consider how to make this arrangement work for everyone involved. While remote work offers flexibility, ensuring employee engagement is essential not only for their mental health and productivity but also for your business. What once engaged your team in-person may not work as well in a virtual setting, so learning how to keep remote employees happy is key. Collaboration in a remote workforce presents challenges for managers, employees, and teams, but it can be achieved successfully. In this session, participants will explore the defining characteristics of remote teams, various communication tools to enhance virtual work, and when to use different methods effectively. They will also learn the importance of seamless communication, fostering social interaction, and scheduling regular check-ins to maximize the performance of remote teams.

During this training session, participants will be provided with a framework for understanding the power of Emotional Intelligence and actionable insights. EQ-i 2.0 measures 5 key areas: self-perception, self-expression, interpersonal, decision-making, stress management. We will dive into these areas and the subscales within them.

The term feedback bears a historically negative connotation, conjuring up visions of difficult conversations about bad employee performance. This session will introduce the process of feed-forward – productive and positive performance discussions focused on future behavioral changes and continuation of excellent behaviors. The feed-forward process highlights methods for communicating through varied approaches. Feed-forward is a development opportunity for both the giver and receiver of information. Communication cannot be one-sided; leaders must be open to feed-forward information as well. Barriers to providing feed-forward information, as well as skills to overcome them, will be covered (i.e. “I’m worried about how he or she will respond”). This feed-forward session also includes skills to set clear expectations at the beginning of a project, making it easier to coach, share, and develop others.

Do you want to become less likely to suffer from burnout and more resilient to change? Research shows that cultivating characteristics of hardiness, or how you respond to stressful and unexpected situations, will help you do just that. Having high hardiness doesn’t mean you won’t get stressed, but people who are higher in hardiness are less likely to experience the negative effects of stress on health and performance. In this training, we’ll discuss what hardiness means and how it can help you turn stress into success.

Most adults use no more than 10% of their creative potential each day. How about you… and your team? Creativity is not something we’re born with; it isn’t a talent or a strength; and it’s rarely a requirement for hire. But it certainly is necessary to achieve success and excellence in your work! The good news is that creativity is a skill that can be learned and developed. A combination of knowledge, imagination and evaluation, creativity flows from the right information, combined with the natural talents of every individual. Through this workshop, you will tap into your unique creative potential and learn how to put creativity to work, especially in problem solving.

MHFA is a skills-based training that teaches people how to identify, understand, and respond to signs and symptoms of a mental health or substance use challenge in adults ages 18 and over.

This Goal Setting workshop explores the nature of goals and a process for mastering the art of setting and achieving them. During this session, participants will understand the impact of setting goals and managing their time effectively to achieve their goals, both personal and professional. The group will share their current time management habits – both successes and pitfalls – and brainstorm practical approaches to improve their current issues. Also covered are ways to limit procrastination as well as how to better prioritize and plan.

That’s right! Running an effective meeting is an art! And you can develop the skills to be a master at it. In this one-hour workshop you will dissect the five most common complaints about meetings, then move on to the eight steps to an engaging, efficient, and effective meeting. From clear expectations to a disciplined agenda, all the way to an appropriate follow-up, you will learn the secrets of an expert meeting style that impresses and delivers.

This session explores the basic definitions of diversity and inclusion and their importance in the workplace. It highlights the business case for diversity and inclusion, demonstrating how they positively impact talent attraction and retention, reduce absenteeism, boost productivity, increase market share, and enhance ROI. Participants will learn effective recruitment and workplace strategies to attract diverse talent and create more inclusive environments. Additionally, the course covers methods to promote equity, acceptance, and better interactions among employees.

This practical session turns accountability into an everyday habit. Leaders will learn to set clear expectations, align their teams around outcomes, and delegate in ways that build both capability and ownership. Instead of falling into common traps—like the “it’s easier to do it myself” mindset or avoiding tough conversations, they’ll gain proven frameworks for decision-making, delegation, and holding accountability conversations that drive results.

Regardless of a person’s role, each person must be held accountable for the law and for their responsibility to uphold anti-harassment standards. This session will include an exploration of basic laws, a presentation of case studies, and a look at the influence of pop culture and social media surrounding these topics. Most especially, a discussion of what you can do to promote a positive culture will be covered.
