We provide a safe space for our people to innovate and know that keeping people engaged, using their strengths, and doing their best work benefits everyone, including our own team.

By celebrating positivity, creativity, flexibility, and excellence, we enrich the lives of our colleagues, candidates, clients, and community. We are always observing, learning, and sharing ways for organizations to be more JoyPowered® with the goal of creating collaborative and inclusive cultures that impact companies, employees, and their families.

We are proud to have been recognized as a 2023 Best Place to Work in Indiana.

“I love that I have the ability to be creative in my projects, have the flexibility to support my team and family and am empowered daily to use my highest working potential.”

Purple Perks

We offer the following perks and benefits to our team members:

Life at Purple Ink

It’s important to us that our team has opportunities to get to know each other as people, not just as Purple Inksters. People want to feel a sense of purpose, value, and belonging in the workplace, so it’s important to find times to work and play! We know that a connected team is a more engaged and productive team, so we create opportunities to foster those connections. We regularly have social events so our people can bond and have fun together. We’ve done activities like:

  • Axe throwing
  • Glassblowing classes
  • Virtual scavenger hunts
  • “Staffsgiving” luncheons
  • Cooking classes
  • Virtual coffee chats
  • Virtual “Amazing Races”

We also recognize the value of professional development and support our team in sharpening their skills by attending conferences and other development events. We especially love when Inksters are able to attend events together!

“Each time we team build, I am reminded that our staff truly values each other and values providing superior service to our clients.”

Laura North, Consultant

Our Office

While our team primarily works remotely, we have office space that Inksters can use for meetings…or even if they just need a change of scenery during their work week! As the majority of our people are located in the Indianapolis area, we have one main office – “the ink pad” in Carmel, Indiana. Our office is conveniently located near many restaurants, shops, and the Monon Trail, a renowned walking and bike trail. Want to have a walking meeting? Let’s go!

Purple Ink in the Community

At Purple Ink, we want to be engaged and supportive members of our local community and the HR community as a whole.

We’re proud to sponsor:

  • Pass the Torch for Women, an Indianapolis-based organization that empowers women through mentoring, connecting, and investing in them at all stages of their careers.
  • Dress for Success Indianapolis, an organization that empowers women to achieve economic independence by providing a network of support, professional attire, and development tools
Many of our team members are active members of their local SHRM chapters and national SHRM. Our founder, JoDee Curtis, and Executive Collaborator Susan White are members of SHRM faculty, leading SHRM seminars for HR professionals around the country. We offer SHRM recertification credits for many of our training sessions and webinars, as well as for (free!) episodes of The JoyPowered® Workspace Podcast. We also love building community with other workforce consultants through our sister company, Powered by Purple Ink, a national network of people professionals. PbPI was also founded by JoDee Curtis, and many of our consultants are members of the network.

“I grew up in a family that served others. Naturally, this became very important to me from the beginning of my career. I strongly believe in giving back, so Purple Ink encourages our team members to become involved in the community.”

JoDee Curtis, Owner
